8/6 FIFO roster calendar

8/6 here means 8 days on, 6 days off, so a cycle is 8 days on site followed by 6 days at home. That makes the cycle 14 days long, about 26.1 cycles a year, with 57% of days on site. In 2027 the work days come to 208 to 209, depending on where in the cycle you start; set your start date below for your own count.

The 8 days on and 6 days off add up to 14, so every cycle starts on the same weekday as the one before.

Across a year this swing comes to about 29.8 weeks on site and 22.3 weeks at home, over roughly 26.1 swings. The longest stretch away is 8 days, and because the 14-day cycle is 2 weeks exactly, each swing starts on the same weekday as the last. With travel days switched on, about 53 days a year are marked as travel.
